VTMS offers maintenance services from thrusters in the following scope of work:

•      General overhaul, 
•      Emergency repair,
•      Inspection,
•      Spare parts verification,
•      Thruster modifications and adaptation to work with bio-degraded oil (EAL).

The service could be done during the dry docking period and emergency repairs in port but it depends on type of thrusters.

Overhaul:
- Replacement of seals on the pinion and input shaft.
- Replacement of pinion and input shaft.
- Replacement of seals under the blades.
- Replacement of roller bearings and set of clearances.
- Bushing of housings.
- Hub repair.
- Adjustment actuator.
- Hydraulic system adjustment.
- Replacement of control system components.

Inspection:
- Hydraulic system test.
- Checking the condition of the couplings and alignmet verification.
- Gear box inspection and verification of backlash and pattern contact.
- Gears condition and bearing clearance verifaction.

The scope of work to be agreed with Shipowner.

The work carried out is supported by a professional service report, which contains key descriptions and technical specifications.
